While munching the final bites of nuts I smile as the sun rays fall upon me Hearing the chants of “Freedom!!, Freedom!!” From the walls of the deadly prison I emerge out from the darkroom And see the tricolor flag hoisted on the very top My hand reached my head swiftly To salute the most beautiful thing I ever saw As I go past the prison’s borders My heart is filled with a newfound emotion The Joy of finally being free And the excitement of living without fear I know what it means to me and my fellow inmates
